A lifelong resident of the Canberra region, Cassandra Cumberland joined the Independent Property Group as the Sales/Corporate Receptionist for the City office in 2004. Cassie was an immediate success in this role, winning Independent s ÃÂÃÂReceptionist of the Year AwardÃÂÃÂ for both 2004 and 2005. Cassie s extensive dealings with the company s clients, agents and solicitors gave her an excellent grounding for her new role within the company.
2006 brought a change in direction for Cassie as she travelled and worked overseas for six months. Cassie's travels extended to the USA, the United Kingdom, Europe & Singapore. During this time she also spent two months as a camp counsellor in Portland, Maine. This experience was of great benefit as it allowed her to work with a diverse range of ages and cultural groups. Cassie has subsequently used these skills in her dealings with the variety of clients she meets. In addition, Cassie gained a greater appreciation of the standard of living in Australia.
Cassie returned to Independent at the end of 2006 and took on the exciting new role as Sales Co-ordinator to Wayne Harriden, the Principal of the City office. Being one of the highest performers for Independent, Wayne's experience and skills have assisted Cassie to prove herself within a short timeframe.
Cassie has also recently commenced purchasing her first home. This experience has been invaluable in seeing the process from a buyer s perspective and gives her empathy to the stress and concerns a new purchaser encounters.
