History

Kingston was named after Right Honourable Charles Cameron Kingston (1850-1908) who was the Premier of South Australia from 1893-99 and represented South Australia at the Federal Council Meeting in 1889 and at the 1891 and 1897-98 Federal Conventions. He was the Minister for Trade and Customs in the first Commonwealth Government.
