Richardson was named after Henry Handel Richardson (Ethel Florence Lindesay Richardson) (1870-1946). Ethel Richardson published her first novel 'Maurice Guest' in 1905. Her best work was a trilogy known as 'The Fortunes of Richard Mahoney' published in 1930.
