I was born and bred in Yass, both my parents coming from local grazing family and my father also a shaering contractor also from a local grazing family.
After leaving St Josephs College in Hunters Hill, I helped run my fathers business gaining my wool classers licence.
After this I moved to Canberra where I married and spend 15 years working in the horse industry as well as a 5 year stint working in Japan, Yass was always home however and the country lifestyle beckoned.

After returning from Japan 7 years ago, I become involved in the real estate industry selling real estate in the Yass region for a prominent agency in Canberra. My wife and I, with our 2 boys then purchased some rural acreage between Yass and Murrumbateman, running a small sheep enterprise as well as selling real estate.

However an offer ‘too good to refuse’ to run the rural & residential property side of the original and long established firm of FL Kelly & Co real estate & livestock business for Phillip White at Yass arose. My wife and I took over from Dal Hanrahan where we were able to grow this business to it’s full potential, however after only one year this business was bought out and no longer exits. So with careful consideration and huge local support the decision was made to join the First National group and go into business on our own.

My wife and I then established the Yass First National agency in 2006 which has now become one of Yass’ leading Real Estate agencies.
