A rare opportunity awaits your appraisal. If you love the Australian bush & are searching for a home with character, this could be the property for you. An interesting array of native & exotic flora, including some magnificent eucalypts, provides both privacy & a haven for the area’s wild life on 8351m2 (2 acres) of land. The long gravelled drive leading to the double garage, double carport & additional parking area exudes a rustic feel, a rare commodity for a residence only a short drive from the Town Centre. For people preferring a little distance from their neighbours, it is ideal. Being on a bushland block, gardening is down to a minimum – the majority of it being self-regulating.
The stunning, superbly presented home won’t disappoint either – the bull-nosed verandahs lend a distinctly Aussie feel, as well as providing additional protection from the weather - and there is nothing like listening to the rain on a metal roof on a stormy night. Comprising 4 bedrooms with generous main, separate study, superbly renovated ensuite, cedar-lined main bathroom, spacious light-filled open plan living areas, & a delightful country style oak kitchen, the soaring ceilings, hardwood floors & cedar windows add to its distinctive splendour. A home for all seasons as well with solar orientation, ducted gas heating & ducted electric cooling, ensuring your family’s comfort all year.
Double doors opening onto a generous formal entry set the stage for entertaining, as do the number of different grottos & reflective areas for outdoor relaxation – few properties have their own rustic gazebo overlooking a large pond. Family & friends alike will insist on ‘al fresco’ dining when they come to visit, & golf enthusiasts are only minutes away from a beautifully treed, popular 18 hole course.
This could be the perfect home for a family with driving teenagers when you consider the 4 car garaging & large area devoted to off street parking. A wonderful workshop at the back of the double garage gets plenty of natural light & could make an excellent hobbyist’s space.
For future dreams, there is ample room for a tennis court or swimming pool. Don’t pass up this opportunity - a must for people looking for a rural style escape without compromising the benefits of local amenities.
Owner's comment:
We loved the view from our picture windows, watching, often photographing the wildlife which wandered and flew by; from the regular crew including kangaroos, wallabies and a plethora of birdlife, to surprise guests in the form of wombats, echidnas, turtles... So many wonderful scenes and memories; the varying hues of the garden at different times of the year - the blazing Japanese Maple a highlight, its autumn display such a contrast to its backdrop of the muted greens of the Australian bush, the sunsets as we sat at ‘cocktail hour’ letting the light of day fade around us before succumbing to candle-power, the exciting changes brought by the extension and those wrought through our own labours – the pergola, courtyard & garden projects to name a few. Beautiful bushland setting – a peaceful haven but ever extending a warm, welcoming embrace to so many gatherings –whether indoors or out.
