One of Australia’s most notable country estates has hit the market. The former Moss Vale council chambers and mayoral residence, Moss Manor, built in 1890, has been living its latest life as a luxury guesthouse thanks to a glamorous facelift by Luke Moloney Architecture.

Its Georgian flair has been carefully retained, and there is much to love inside the eight-bedroom manor.

Agent Cameron Scott says each room has “marble en suites, bespoke interiors, antique furnishings and unique fabrics”.

“The extension, encompassing the floor-to-ceiling-glassed living and dining rooms, overlooks the established garden featuring blossoming cherry trees,” he adds.

Modern comforts abound, including Porsche-network EV charging, while the heart of town, with its array of pubs, restaurants, and cafes, is just a short walk away.

The question is: What comes next for a home of such calibre? Scott says “it could easily be returned to a luxury residence”, in wich case you had better start practicing a royal wave.

Campbell Jones Property Bowral is handling the private sale, which has a price guide of $4 million.
