Nicole Kidman reveals ‘stealth’ home she hid for 21 years

For more than two decades, Nicole Kidman has been sneaking in and out of a London residence almost nobody knew she owned.

As the Oscar winner embraces a new chapter following the end of her 19-year marriage to Keith Urban, the actress has revealed she keeps a hidden apartment near Notting Hill.

“I’ve had it for 20 years … 21 actually,” Kidman, 59, told British Vogue.

It is an impressive secret for one of the world’s most recognisable stars, who has a very simple explanation for how she kept the address under wraps.

“I’m stealth,” the Nine Perfect Strangers actress confessed.

“I’m good at slipping in and slipping out of everywhere.”

The Hours star has also relied on her undercover skills throughout her European summer, which has taken her from London to Ibiza, Paris and Portofino.

She isn’t above a disguise either.

“Sometimes I’ll wear a wig to hide, a little dark wig, and then I can just dance,” she said.

The London hideaway adds to Kidman’s already expansive property portfolio.

The mother-of-four has come a long way since becoming a teenage first-home buyer in Sydney in 1987, when she paid $81,000 for a one-bedroom unit in Mosman after starring in the television miniseries Vietnam.

In the years that followed, she would go on to build an international property empire, both individually and with Urban.

In Sydney, Kidman amassed six apartments in the same Milsons Point building over more than a decade.

Her homes there include two penthouses bought for $6 million and $7 million, which were combined to create a sprawling property overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Other purchases in the building have included apartments for $2.68 million, $2.78 million and $1.35 million. Kidman added a three-bedroom residence for $7.725 million in 2023, which she later sold for $8.5 million.

Kidman and Urban also bought the historic Georgian mansion Bunya Hill at Sutton Forest in New South Wales’ Southern Highlands for $6.5 million in 2008.

The former couple purchased a seven-bedroom mansion in Nashville for $US3.47 million ($4,912,787) in 2008, complete with a swimming pool and tennis court, after relocating their family to Tennessee the previous year.

They have also been linked to multimillion-dollar homes in New York and Beverly Hills.
