Taking a bath is something most people prefer to do in private.

But one apartment for sale in London is bucking tradition with a bathtub that takes body confidence to the next level.

The tub is made entirely out of clear glass.

Two wooden benches separate the bath from the rest of the room, which is lit by a large window.

If it wasn’t for the tapware and drain, it would be hard to spot the bath at all.

Bizarrely, it is built directly over a skylight that looks down into the kitchen below.

Anyone chopping vegetables would see a lot more than they bargained for if they looked up.

The quirky one-bedroom flat in East London is listed for sale with an asking price of £950,000 ($1.9 million).

The apartment is arranged over three levels, with the bedroom and bathroom on the upper mezzanine floors.

Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen and living room with built-in bookshelves.

The property is billed as a “stunning one bedroom loft-style flat” with a “bespoke mezzanine-level bathroom”.

The listing attracted attention online, where househunters expressed bewilderment at the glass bath.

“Imagine trying to cook and every time you look up, you see bum cheeks,” one Reddit user wrote.

Others debated the practicality of having a glass bath.

“Glass or metal baths are an extremely good way for your bath water to get uncomfortably cold, really quickly,” a person commented.

“Must be a bugger to keep all that glass clean,” another user speculated.
