It’s the day of the Domain Buyers Jury Challenge, and the contestants are scrambling to prepare their properties before 100 potential buyers inspect them, while also finishing the kids’ bedroom and their redo rooms.
But the rumour mill is in overdrive.
Chantel and Wyatt’s relaxed attitude hasn’t gone unnoticed by the other teams, fuelling speculation that the pair have a secret weapon – a buyer already locked in to secure their house on auction day.

“Do they have some billionaire that’s going to come in and wipe us all out of the park?” Courtney asks. “Because why else would you just not care?”
Courtney reveals that Chantel’s brother-in-law is Travers Beynon, a Gold Coast personality known as The Candyman, worth an estimated $200 million.
Word quickly spreads around The Block site.

“All the pennies are dropping,” Jolene says.
“It would explain why they’re not taking on any feedback from the judges. It would explain why they’re really not busting butts. It would explain why their house is so vanilla and Gold Coast vibes.
“But to be perfectly honest, my care factor is absolutely zero – because I don’t think House 2 is any competition whatsoever.”

“It kind of does make sense,” Lisa says. “They don’t follow any feedback; they don’t get upset when they get bad scores.”
Tilers the Cursio brothers decide they’ll be the ones to get to the bottom of it.
Chantel and Wyatt stay cool, calm and collected, with Chantel laughing off the rumour, saying, “Maybe I should get him to buy it!”

“We don’t have a buyer lined up – we’re just doing what we love,” she says.
“I’m going to ask him to buy it now though,” adds Wyatt.
“At this moment in time, The Candyman is not buying our house,” Chantel says. “But now we’re going to try, because it’s a great idea.”

The Candyman, or Travers Beynon, is well-known on the Gold Coast for throwing lavish parties at his “Candy Shop Mansion” and for his wealth, estimated at about $200 million.
The former AFL footballer and model made his fortune as the owner and managing director of the Freechoice Tobacco chain, a business started by his parents in 1991.
Chantel’s sister Taesha married Beynon in 2011.

Property records show Beynon’s Candy Shop Mansion in Helensvale has been listed for sale multiple times over the past three years, most recently in April 2025.
Beynon bought the home in 2010 and spent years creating the party pad that stands today.

The opulent 14-bedroom, 13-bathroom property on a riverfront block features Mediterranean-inspired interiors. It has a sprawling kitchen-dining-lounge zone with a bar, a cinema, and multiple sitting rooms.
Outdoors, there’s a huge pool with swim-up bar, built-in seated area with a fire pit, a grotto, multiple entertaining zones, a pizza oven and a sauna.

With prolific Block buyer Danny Wallis making an appearance at the Domain challenge and inspecting the homes, it’s possible he will be bidding at this year’s auctions.
Now that the other Block billionaire buyer Adrian Portelli has sworn off the show, could this pave the way for another cashed-up buyer to throw their chequebook in the mix? Time will tell.
All you need is one interested buyer – and it could be that Chantel and Wyatt already have that crucial requirement locked in.
