The Mercantile Club is an iconic part of Geraldton's history. As reported in the Western Mail (20th July 1901) on the "14th July 1901 the first annual meeting of the Mercantile Club was held. Thirty members attended and in the absence of the president Mr A.A. Morgan the Vice President occupied the chair. The secretary read the report and balance-sheet, which were unanimously adopted. "The report showed the Club's position-to be a satisfactory one, its numerical strength being 120 financial members. The election of a committee of management for the ensuing year was proceeded with…"

Moving forward to the present-day, approximately 117 years from the first AGM, the time has come for the Club and its members to put the iconic building up for sale.

The building itself is a two-storey historic masterpiece with the Club located on the upper level and two shops on the ground level which are currently leased. There is ample parking at the rear with undercover parking also available.

The Club upstairs area has a license for 480 people, there is a massive bar, large restaurant/dining space, a dance floor, a separate darts room and amenities both upstairs and downstairs. This would be a fantastic opportunity for the lucky buyer to utilize the space for functions or whichever the zoning table from the Greater City of Geraldton council will allow.

With a combined rental of $5,900/month** coming in from both shops on the ground floor you will be producing an income straight away with a great opportunity to produce more upstairs. Total block size is approximately 1,450m2 which is prime and rare CBD land.

The Mercantile Club building is for sale by Express Tender.
