Ladybugs began life in 1999 in Somerset at Two Oaks nursery complex we are actually older than some of our staff. During the last 15 years we have relocated in Wynyard. We have traded steadily and successfully as a partnership with a daytime cafe. Around 10 years ago the pizza trade was added. We have a solid track record of almost 25 years trading. We haven't been scared to make changes over this time. It's never the right time to do something, but change is on again! Kylie and Brian have decided to go travelling. This means Ladybugs needs a new owner.
The oldest is not always the best, but Ladybugs is living proof that if you love service and hospitality and want to be in charge of your own destiny it is possible to succeed. It doesn't matter if your competitor is 4 metres down the road or 40, customers are loyal to good service and quality.
Both 2020 and 2023 saw massive changes in trading, this little business has proven to be profitable even in a pandemic or economic downturn.
Eight years ago we made the change to just pizza with coffee and cake, trading from 4pm to 8 pm. We currently trade 5 nights a week, with a solid dine-in trade boosted by a liquor licence. We close all public holiday weekends, Sundays and some Easters/Christmases. These hours are extremely family friendly.
The business restructure means its easy for 1 person to manage, a working couple would find this very attractive.
There is a huge opportunity to expand trade if so desired, eg, 40-60 hours per week, extra menu items, and delivery options. Wynyard is a growing community, right on the Inglis River with beaches, bushwalking and great schools within close range.
