Ray White, one of the most recognised brands in real estate throughout Australian and New Zealand, first established a presence in the Centenary suburbs in the late '70s in the suburb of Westlake. When the post office in the Mount Ommaney moved its premises around the beginning of the ‘80s, Ray White relocated to the vacated space. The story goes that people tried to buy stamps there for years afterwards! In 1987, Ray White Centenary became the first real estate agency in Qld (including the glitzy Gold Coast) to sell a property for over $1 million! The agency moved again in the early '90s, and, more recently, to the current location in the Mount Ommaney Medical Centre.
