Chris Andrews is passionate about people, highly approachable and moves with comfort and ease in all social circles.
He was born at Scone in the Upper Hunter Valley, and upon the tragic death of his father, he moved at an early age with his family to Terrigal, where his mother had been appointed to a teaching position at Avoca Beach Primary School. Having completed his Secondary schooling at Barker College, Hornsby, Chris retraced his steps back to the country for a short period of time, as a Jackaroo on a leading pastoral property at Merriwa. This was followed by an extensive period of travel around Europe, where he experienced moving in a culturally diverse mix of people. Upon his return, he made a lifelong commitment to follow the example of his brother, Tim Andrews, and pursue a career in the Real Estate Industry, as he knew this would be where his personal qualities would be paramount to his success.
After commencing his career in 1990 in the northern part of the Central Coast, 1997 saw Chris and Tim bring the trusted L.J. Hooker name to Terrigal, where the combined qualities of this duo led to outstanding results for their franchise in the local area. The business was expanded to L.J. Hooker, Avoca Beach in 2000, where Chris has enjoyed the challenge of being the Principle and Licensee –in- Charge since its inception. He thrives on the excitement of his profession and, as a result, Chris has been part of the prestigious L.J. Hooker Multi - Million Dollar Club for the last twelve years, which embraces the top 3% of sales persons.
In 2010, Chris successfully negotiated the purchase and supervised the move for the L. J. Hooker team to open a new office, which is modern in design and central in location being situated in the heart of the Avoca Beach community. Chris is capably supported by his Professional Assistant Rebecca Froud and is surrounded by a committed, self - motivated, professional team, which he leads naturally and comfortably. He has that special ability to communicate effectively directing his staff in a quiet, unobtrusive way, which triggers their enthusiasm and gains their cooperation. Chris guides his team in the setting of clear goals with highly effective planning and marketing strategies and, in return, he is given loyalty and the highest level of integrity and established trust from his staff.
These personal qualities are evident in Chris’ interaction with his clients. At all times during the negotiating process, he clearly remains professional and focussed, demonstrating empathy and exploring all avenues to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders. His commitment to keeping his client fully informed is most appreciated and evident by the large number of referrals he receives from highly satisfied clients in his extensive data base.
Chris’ leisure time is spent interacting with people from all walks of life; encouraging his children’s academic and sporting pursuits; travelling; playing golf and, having now retired from the field , being an enthusiastic supporter of both Rugby Union and Rugby League.
