About Christine Shaw

Selling your home or investment property is an important journey, and by having me as your agent, you are also having a positive social impact on the broader community.

I get brilliant results and have excellent negotiation skills resulting in a repeat and referral business of over 85%. My unique social impact model in real estate is due to my government background in social policy in overseas aid and refugee/humanitarian work.

From 2010, I established my Investors Can Help Project with the Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services (MARSS), to help our newest community members find housing. I've had the opportunity of being on the Deputy Chief Minister's Consultative Group for Affordable Housing and Homelessness as part of the Housing Summit in October 2017, and I am also a Vinnies Ambassador for the Sleepout from 2021 to 2025, walking the talk that those fortunate to be in the "haves" should give back.

I not only fundraise, but my sellers can have 25% of my fee sent to either Hands Across Canberra or Vinnies CEO Sleepout via their Solicitor and they will receive a tax deduction. My business ethos is "real estate with a purpose". My raison d'etre is affordable housing and homelessness, and I am now privileged to be part of the ACT Chapter of Housing All Australians.

The United Nations has decreed that having a roof over your head is a basic human right. Help me help others, and let's talk about selling your property.

When looking at who to employ as your agent, ask yourself the question: if the agent has had 70 sales and only 30 of them are giving testimonials, why aren't the other 40 giving testimonials? I provide a personalised service and am not a volume agent churning through listings, and I send a testimonial request to every owner. With 100% responding with testimonials, that is how I was honoured to be in the Top Ten for the ACT Agent of The Year in 2024. Numbers matter, but how you read them is more important.
