About Di Jones

Go the extra mile. When I opened my agency in June 1992 I had only one thing in mind ... to do the very best I could, offering clients the style of service I would like to receive with a small, very personal 'boutique agency' completely different from the existing style of real estate companies. At long last being independent released me from all corporate franchise 'rule-books'. I had the freedom and the motivation to do things differently ... certainly with a more feminine touch ... but with a commitment to go as far as each client needed. I would 'go the extra mile'. I had no idea that the agency would be as well received as it has been and can only thank those clients who followed me to Di Jones Real Estate providing me with support and encouragement in the face of one of the lowest economic periods Australia has had to face this century. It was gratifying to see how enthusiastically the new agency was welcomed by vendors and home buyers. It proved that you can't keep a 'good thing down' and that my intuition was right ... the public was both ready and in need of a new approach to real estate. My goals are now no different from before - to create the most respected real estate agency in the eastern suburbs - historically the most competitive property arena in Australia. But what have been added to that goal are new visions. Complacency and satisfaction are not acceptable to me. I would never presume to believe that I have done all that I can in bringing a fresh approach to an industry well entrenched in old traditions. I am constantly searching for new ways to further improve the agency, the services it can offer its clients and my own skills' my modus operandi is to me a constant challenge and one I look forward to improving each day. The real estate industry - its marketing, presentation, selling, management, negotiation - and all the 'behind the scenes' elements that go into making it operate successfully are fascinating and open for still further improvement. Local real estate has become far more aware in recent times with the public benefiting greatly - which is the way it should be. At last properties are given priority instead of the agent's logo. They are professionally photographed, written up and presented in a far more appealing and informative fashion than ever before. As a result, better prices are being achieved, the level of service competing agents must offer has increased and clients are receiving more personal attention towards what is usually their most momentous and financially imperative asset. Perhaps being a wife and mother makes me more aware of people and their special needs. We are all entities in our own right, with private lives going on under the surface and I feel it is essential not to lose sight of the individual for the sake of profit. It would be naive of me to try to convince you that I am not a businesswoman with budgets and profit margins to consider, but of what I always try to stay mindful is that every client should be treated with respect. Client's of Di's have responded accordingly to her thoughtful approach and many voice their thanks in letters of appreciation. Wrote one vendor 'thank you for your efforts - above and beyond the call of duty - in marketing and selling our homes handled the advertising, the marketing, the sale and indeed us superbly. All of your advice proved to be correct from beginning to end and we are convinced that no one-else could have achieved the wonderful results you did. We are very grateful'. The very best service with personal attention to the smallest detail is what I believe sets our office apart from other agencies.
