I grew up in
Lugarno, in Sydney’s South till high school and then moved to Frankfurt, Germany in year 7 for 2 years (because of dad’s work) I went to Frankfurt International School where it was normal for school excursions to be a week in Venice, skiing in St Mortiz Switzerland or hiking mountains in summer in Austria. It was too good to be true and had to end at some stage. As a 12 yr old I didn’t want to leave Australia but when it was time to return home I didn’t want to leave Germany!
I’ve worked for
Before my real estate career I worked for the Japanese Government with a prime real estate office overlooking the Opera House and Sydney Harbour. I then changed careers, went back to part time studying and got my real estate licence while working at McGrath at Edgecliff. My first job in the Shire was at Chris Burke Real Estate. I worked for several different real estate offices in Cronulla & Caringbah before launching Beach & Bay Realty in 2001.
Crazy stuff I’ve done
* Become a real estate agent
* Opened up my own agency
* Moved to Japan with no money, no job and stayed for 18months
* Been a tour guide for a group of Australians aged between 16yrs and 84yrs on a tour of Japan for 2 weeks
* Visited Quebec in the middle of winter in -25 degree conditions by myself and speaking no French
* Speedboat under Iguazu Falls, Argentina
* Climbed Mt Fuji, Japan
To have fun I
Travel. I’m crazy about travel and my parents are to blame, they took me overseas at 6yrs old and I have been travelling ever since. It’s an expensive hobby but I love experiencing new cultures and trying to learn new languages! But on a weekly basis dinner with a great bottle of red with friends, trying new restaurants or seeing a movie or shopping at boutique, one off stores is for me. I also like making cupcakes and if I don’t say so myself I make a pretty good vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting.

I love Cronulla because of its laidback, village atmosphere, sometimes it takes me half an hour to walk up the mall to get my coffee as I see people I know and stop for a chat, I love that about Cronulla. The Esplanade walk (one of the most scenic settings in Sydney), the healthy lifestyle at your doorstep, being surrounded by water, having the choice of the beach or the bay, as a Scorpio (water sign) we like being around water!
What are your favourite places in Cronulla?
Grind, Blackwood Beach, Ham Cafe, The Esplanade, Darook Park
Guiding philosophy
Living life now, not waiting till I am older or wealthier to do something (i.e. travel etc). I think if I get hit by a truck today would I regret not having done something?
