About Kym West

While most property managers will claim to go the extra mile for their clients, some may baulk at the idea of pulling a weed from the garden, giving a kitchen that little extra sparkle or sweeping the path prior to an open for inspection. Kym West’s approach to property management is built around these ‘little things’ that make all the difference. Kym listens with real interest to the needs of prospective tenants and has a keen eye for the ‘little things’ that will rejuvenate an investment property– a fresh coat of paint, a new benchtop and cupboard handles that refresh a kitchen, new window furnishings or re-grouting a bathroom. Small improvements that can create a huge difference and a win/win for everyone - a more desirable home for a prospective tenant and an increase in return for the investment owner! Property management is a great responsibility, and Kym recognises this. This is where her personal mantra of “do as you say you’re going to do” comes to the fore. Kym’s approach is based on a philosophy of genuine care, and as such she demonstrates the highest level of care in building lasting relationships between landlords and tenants to ensure trust is established and the right balance is struck to the mutual benefit of all parties. Working alongside the rest of the Laing+Simmons team, Kym brings a fresh approach to property management, which is complemented by her significant experience in customer service and management roles over the years. The success of the relationships Kym fosters, day-in day-out, is the most satisfying aspect of her work, and the reason she continues to love what she does.
