PARADISE FOUND

One of the Southern Hemisphere's most breathtaking views is the unique formations of Whitsunday Islands rising from the Coral Sea that glimmers gold, turquoise, emerald and sapphire above the Great Barrier Reef.

When the site on Hayman Island directly facing this iconic view became available, a prominent Queensland family commissioned internationally acclaimed architect Kerry Hill to design and oversee the construction of a holiday residence.

Hayman House is more than a remarkable family retreat. It is a tribute to the crystal clear lagoon, the azure ocean, the white sand beaches, the immersion in nature, the endless starry sky. It honours the sheer wonder of Hayman Island.

An important facet of Hayman House is its blend of privacy and world-class resort facilities. Hayman House has full access to the island's famous InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, widely regarded as the premier island resort in Australia.

On island, on water and in air experiences are in abundance and detailed in the resort's website.

Services designed to complement Hayman House include 24 hour room service, butler service, chef service, and property maintenance.

DESIGNED BY KERRY HILL

Award-winning Hayman House is exemplary of architect Kerry Hill's innovative style and is featured in the book Crafting Modernism (Paul Finch 2013).

Kerry Hill and Hutchinson Builders worked without compromise to complete Hayman House to an outstanding level of finish.

Constructed of reinforced concrete and an extensive use of glass, timber battening and verandas the home is filled with views of the islands in the Coral Sea and cleverly controls entry of sunlight and breeze.

To infuse the residence with the ocean, the sky and the island's sense of peace, Kerry Hill used his unique approach to create generous and tranquil spaces.

The double volume screened atrium extends the living space of the home seemingly to the horizon. Shadow patterns change throughout the day interplaying with sunlight. As dusk falls the timber screens appear lantern-like.

Three pavilions across 1,100m2 create spaces for family to come together and spaces for privacy and quiet.

The main living pavilion places the view centre stage. The open plan gourmet kitchen and living spaces are minimalistic in design, yet regal with their voluminous spaces. The bedroom gallery features four ensuited bedrooms. There are ocean views at every turn.

The master retreat pavilion is exquisite bringing in views to the north looking towards the outer reef and views to the south taking in the Whitsunday Islands.

The basalt clad pool pavilion creates a dreamy oasis. Views across the infinity pool and ocean merge against the backdrop of the islands.

Restful gardens complement the island's tropical terrain. Hayman House comes complete with two buggies that take your family throughout the resort and island.

This award-winning, 1,100m2 residence is available for private acquisition for the first time since its completion in 2011. Since that time only the family has stayed at Hayman House for one month a year.

This combined with the immaculate property maintenance provided by the resort means Hayman House continues to look as beautiful as the day it was completed.

To find an island holiday home of this calibre on the Great Barrier Reef is a find like no other. Hayman House will remain in the hearts of your family and friends.

Do not delay your inspection.
