Former AFL great Lance “Buddy” Franklin and his model wife, Jesinta, have sold their luxury Gold Coast mansion following a reinvigorated campaign lasting just 60 days.

The Mediterranean-inspired home, Villa Casa, was re-listed with Whitefox Real Estate.

The Reedy Creek property was sold to an interstate buyer on November 7, exactly three years to the day since the high-profile couple bought it.

“Throughout the campaign, we generated three strong offers from highly engaged buyers,” says Whitefox listing agent Dijana Speak.

“The eventual purchaser had been following the property for some time and was genuinely motivated to secure a home in the area.”

The couple had attempted to sell the home without success last year.

The former Hawthorn and Sydney AFL star, along with his wife, a well-known model, are relocating to a hobby farm with their two children, Tullulah, 5, and Rocky, 4. They are expecting their third child.

According to Speak, the family desire “more of a farm life” and have bought a property that includes acreage and paddocks for horses.

Sold to the Franklins in 2022, the luxurious Gold Coast house was designed by Reece Keil and built by Tidal Constructions in 2021. The property was crowned Gold Coast house of the year in 2022 and was featured in Home Beautiful’s Top 100 Homes.

Speak says the house remains “the benchmark for hinterland properties”.

“Reece Keil is one of the premier architects on the Gold Coast,” she says. “And Tidal Constructions consistently delivers exceptional projects across the hinterland.”

The home features five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as two additional bedrooms and two bathrooms in a detached granny flat.

Resort-style amenities include a swim-up bar in the pool, a private rooftop terrace extending from the main-bedroom suite, a gym and an entertainment pavilion.

“The home itself is one of the most recognisable and iconic residences on the Gold Coast,” Speak says.

“Both sellers are thrilled with the outcome, and the buyers are equally excited to be moving into what is truly a dream home.”
