SIP & DIP

Party like there’s no end to summer – although, sigh, there will be. Pimm’s Pop-Up Pool Sessions are on at the Adelphi Hotel’s famous rooftop deck until the end of January – your last chance to lap it up before the pool closes for refurbishment.

The new Om Nom Frosé and Hibiscus Margarita is a menu highlight.

  • Adelphi Hotel rooftop, 187 Flinders Lane, Melbourne. $40 entry (includes a Pimm’s cocktail). Towels $5 hire. Saturdays & Sundays until January 29, noon-6pm.
  • Book at adelphi.com.au or 8080 8888

SWIM SAFE

Sun-protective swimwear is genius; it’s even better when it looks this great.

Sunsoaked’s new range of luxurious rashies and swimwear is designed for women who want to cover up against damaging UV rays.

Styles include swim tops, one-pieces, maxi dresses, kaftans and sportswear.

GRAND SPRITZ SLAM

Aperol Spritz is all over the court action at the Australian Open this year, where Club Aperol will be serving its signature drink alongside charcuterie boards and Italian-inspired tasting plates.

It’s also on the menu at the flagship Aperol venue at Riverland, and other inner-Melbourne hot spots, including Botanical and Collins Quarter.

GAME ON

Nothing swings like summer quite like petanque. Get your game on riverside at The Common Man lawn, where the Secret Garden pop-up bar beckons behind a white picket fence and French floral trimmings.

Lillet & Pernod Ricard Australia-supplied cocktails are offered alongside grilled and barbecue dishes.

  • Cocktails from $10, jugs from $36. The Common Man Lawn, 39 Dukes Walk, South Wharf, 9696 3774
  • thecommonman.com.au
