The Block stars Leah and Ash Milton have listed their glamorous Brisbane home, which interstate buyers have jetted in to inspect.

The couple, who competed on the 2023 season of the hit show in Hampton East, are selling the renovated house at 66 Wassell Street, Wynnum, which goes to auction on October 11.

Their impeccable eye and dedication to detail can be seen throughout the 1930s Queenslander, which retains all the hallmarks of its original era.

Wainscoting, banks of timber floors and exposed beams on soaring ceilings lend grandeur to the five-bedroom property, which was thoroughly updated this year.

'The home is unlike anything else in the area,' agent Alec McEwan says.

Agent Alec McEwan of McGrath Estate Agents Wynnum/Manly tells Domain the home is unlike anything else in the area.

Two prospective buyers from NSW have flown to Brisbane especially to view the property, and enquiries have been received from value-chasing locals from the inner-city suburbs of Coorparoo and Camp Hill.

Their impeccable eye and dedication to detail can be seen throughout the 1930s Queenslander.

“There are lifestyle benefits out here in Wynnum and Manly, being a two-minute drive down to the waterfront,” McEwan says. “There’s a 12-kilometre walk along the esplanade [and] two of Brisbane’s top 10 restaurants [are] at our doorstep, and a list of 25 others that would be in the top 50. And, your money goes a lot further.”

The upper floor of the house embraces the style of 100 years ago, while the lower level has a more contemporary edge.

'They've even imported pendant lights from Germany that correctly match the period,' McEwan says.

The design-savvy pair looked far and wide for the perfect fixtures and fittings.

“They raised it up and then completely rebuilt it,” McEwan says. “Everything downstairs is extremely modern,” McEwan says, “but they’ve still tipped their hat to the period. It’s like stepping back in time.

“They’ve even imported pendant lights from Germany that correctly match the period. There is rich detail, down to the saloon doors with the copper, two-way hinges. It’s … unique and it’s also a very happy, bright and light home.”

Period details lend grandeur to the five-bedroom property.

The bar and entertaining zone on the ground floor acts as a poolside pavilion. A main bedroom with a sweeping walk-in wardrobe and en suite is also on this floor.

A verandah hugs the four upstairs bedrooms, where the buyer will find a central bathroom with a luxurious soaking bath and dual shower combination. A large deck connects to the living and dining space, and a welcoming breakfast nook with a daybed flows off an expansive kitchen.

The couple were known for their bold colour selections on The Block, which they've continued at the Wynnum home.

The house displays the hallmarks of Queenslander design: elevation, strategically placed windows and a flowing floor plan, which keeps the property cool through harsh summers.

The north-facing property, which has a handsome 55-metre frontage, is bathed in sunshine all day, McEwan says.

More pops of colour in an en suite bathroom.

The lofty position looks out over Moreton Bay, and St Helena and Green islands.

“It’s an elevated pocket, so you’ve got the views of the islands and the boats out there to the east, and then to the west, you see the hills and the backdrop of the city,” McEwan says. “It’s a … unique spot.”

There is no public price guide for the property, as per Queensland auction law.

The Miltons competed in the Hampton East season of The Block, selling their house after auction for $3.125 million and netting a profit of $155,000.
