Pack your helmets and get ready to bunnyhop your way to one of the most incredible holiday home experiences on offer.

For most people, a trip to the Gold Coast comes with plenty of action-packed fun at the numerous theme parks.

But for something a little bit more unusual, Australian Olympic gold medallist Logan Martin has listed his family home for rent on Airbnb for the October long weekend and is even throwing in a coaching session for would-be BMXers.

Martin won gold for Australia in the inaugural Men’s BMX Freestyle event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He trained at the purpose-built track at his Gold Coast home and is now giving guests a chance to experience it first hand.

“I’ll run you through what the basics of freestyle BMX is and we’ll have a lot of fun along the way,” Martin says of the once-in-a-lifetime experience on offer.

Martin is opening his home through Airbnb for four guests from Saturday 30 September to Tuesday 3 October for just $16 per night.

“I stay in Airbnbs all over the world and love how these stays have given my family and I a unique way to explore amazing places and really authentically connect with new communities,” Martin says.

The property includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms with views to the Gold Coast hinterland and offers a sneak-peak into the life of the Olympics’ first ever BMX champion with memorabilia, trophies and medals on display.

“This time of the year is perfect weather here on the Gold Coast. Guests are going to have a great time outdoors,” Martin says.

“There’s lots to do on this property. Amazing views, we’ve got the swimming pool, the skatepark – obviously – and some things for the kids to do: the sandpit, the slide and the putting green.”

The three-night stay is available to book from 9am, Tuesday, September 12.
