Think Camberwell and you’re sure to conjure up the art deco majesty of Rivoli cinemas. So for movie-lovers and architecture devotees alike, what could be better than living within a two-minute trot from the cultural and historical icon?

Buyers at the Riversdale Road complex will enjoy this pleasure and many more from the project’s excellent location near Camberwell Junction. Restaurants, shops and public transport are all a no-car deal here, says James Cirelli, Steller sales director.

“Location-wise it’s a solid 10 out of 10,” he says.

“Having the proximity to the junction there is fantastic. If you don’t have a car, you’re not going to need one here.

“The tram is out the front and the train station and shops are within walking distance.”

With 32 apartments and six townhouses, developer Steller has made sure there’s a lot to offer at this boutique, four-storey project. Apartments come in one, two and three bedroom sizes and of the six townhouses facing Riversdale Road, five have two bedrooms and one has three.

Each apartment and townhouse has its own storage area in the basement, where bike racks can also be found.

Luxurious touches can be found throughout the residences starting with the oak floorings in a natural finish. The kitchens are fitted with integrated Fisher & Paykel fridges, Carrara stone benchtops and matching Carrara stone splashbacks.

Bathrooms and ensuites have two-draw wall hung vanities, overhead mirrored cabinets, above counter basins and heated swivel towel rails.

Breakfast attracts a hungry crowd

Camberwell and Hawthorn East locals are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing their next caffeine hit. At Jo Tuddenham’s Roll’n Cafe they are also treated to a mouth-watering breakfast and lunch menu.

“Our three most popular dishes are the corn fritters with avocado, salsa and chilli sauce on the side, then the sensational coconut porridge and the waffles with ice-cream, fruit and, of course, maple syrup,” she says.

Cakes and biscuits are all made on site, including gluten-free bread and cakes, and the barristas use Five Senses Coffee.

Like most Camberwell eateries, Roll’n is most busy on weekends when the locals head out for breakfast or drop in for a bite on their way to or from the market.

“On weekends we’re really busy with local people on foot, traffic from the market and people having their pre or post caffeine hit at the gym next door,” she says.

During the week, the Riversdale Road cafe attracts a mixed bag of clientele. There are the business types who like to gather on the long table for their morning team meetings, parents on their way to school drop-off and uni students fuelling up for the day.
