Agent Paul Corazza credits the care and consideration from stakeholders for the success of new development, Malabar Apartments, in Dickson.

“We looked at what wasn’t on offer everywhere else, and put it in the Malabar complex,” he says.

The care taken is reaping rewards in the diversity of buyers who have approached him, from seniors to young adults.

Corazza ran the homes through a comprehensive checklist during the design process, to eliminate all those little bugbears of apartment life. The effort has paid off, with many people’s pet peeves, such as air conditioning condensers on balconies and cooking smells, eliminated.

The same care has been taken with the communal areas. A swimming pool and gym take pride of place in the top floor sports centre.

“A complex of this size deserves to have some features, so we put a cantilevered swimming pool that can be viewed from Cape Street,” says Corazza.

The communal space also incorporates two large viewing platforms, with barbecues and a fridge.

Everything has been thought of, including entertaining for those in smaller flats.

“Just because you buy a one-bedroom apartment doesn’t mean that you can’t have 10 of your mates over to watch the State of Origin,” says Corazza. A home entertainment complex, with reclining seats and an 80-inch screen, has been included in the development.

Dickson has it all, and those already living there love it. Corazza knows this because a large proportion of the enquiries he’s fielded have come from those already living in the suburb.

“A lot of people who have bought in this complex, I haven’t actually had to sell the Dickson naming of facilities, because they already live in the area,” he said.

The Dickson shops offer all the amenity for a comfortable lifestyle, while this long established suburb boasts schools, parkland running through the suburb, and a swimming pool.

The suburb enjoys city benefits, without the price tag. “It sits between two universities, without being the cost of a city apartment,” says Corazza, as well as being close to public transport. Communal space on the ground floor will add vibrancy and life during the often quiet daylight hours.

Homes boast 20-millimetre stone benchtops with waterfall edges, Bosch stainless steel kitchen appliances, including integrated dishwashers and built-in microwaves, ducted reverse cycle air conditioning. A selection of one and two-bedroom homes are still available for sale.
