Agent view: Buyers out in force in Canberra housing market

With the election over and whispers of another interest rate cut, Canberra buyers have been out in large numbers. Even the snow and rain has not dampened the enthusiasm of buyers looking to secure good quality homes with a stream of buyers and multiple offers on properties available for sale.

The current supply of homes is low and an upsurge of buyers not normally seen at this time of year is making it a great time for sellers looking to sell now, who would normally wait until the spring rush.

Savvy buyers are expanding their search criteria and exploring established suburbs just outside their normal search zones as they are finding with the prices climbing in inner suburbs that for an extra five minute commute they are attainment great value for money.
