Agent View: Canberra opens doors to upbeat market

Last year closed with a race as many homes were sold in the final days of 2015 and new doors were opened to kick-start 2016.
The Canberra market is enjoying the transient season when many professional roles are filled and an abundance of interstate buyers and tenants join the market as they take up new positions in the nation’s capital.
Ray White Tuggeranong reopened on January 4 to many buyer and tenant inquiries and plenty of listings requests.
If last year is an indicator, 2016 will be busy.
In 2015, there were more than 6500 sales and 4688 leased detached homes, pointing to many new neighbours this year.
