Canberra’s growing population continues to drive demand for a wide variety of housing across the region.
A combination of market influencing factors has resulted in low levels of available properties leading to steadily increasing prices on the back of pressure from demand.
In addition to good quality houses on medium to large blocks, there has also been an increase in demand over the years for the “downsizers dwelling”.
These buyers are typically in the baby boomer’s generation and often want to relieve themselves of high maintenance yards and stairs and move into smaller properties on a single level with a more manageable courtyard size block.
This kind of home seems to always be in short supply and is hotly contested when available.
