Agent view: the cold winter months are almost over

The cold winter months are almost over and while many owners expected the market to slow, it’s been one of the best winters for the Canberra market in a long time.

With a low level of homes on the market at the moment, we are seeing very high inspection numbers at our open homes and these high numbers are creating some hot competition.

Belconnen in particular has been very strong over the last couple of months with many of the suburbs currently containing 0-2 homes for sale This is driving buyers to make quick and strong offers.

New properties to market are experiencing a high level of enquiry, while we are also seeing properties that had previously been stagnant on the market being reinvigorated due to buyers have little option to go anywhere else.
