Christopher Gianchou and Milena Nikolevski will be building their dream home in Fairley.

They have bought a block of land in the burgeoning village and the owner-builders are aiming to move in by mid-2017.

“We decided to buy in Fairley mainly due to the sizes of the blocks,” Christopher says.

“We also saw value for money for what we were purchasing compared with what we had looked at in town. Milena and I also enjoy that country feel without being too far away from the city.”

The couple are living in Nicholls with Christopher’s parents. They will be moving to Murrumbateman with their dog, Lilo.

“Some positive things we have to look forward to are our spacious living areas, a traditional country fireplace for the winter months and the outdoor entertaining area, along with the spacious backyard to entertain our family and friends.”

The home will also capture views of the rolling countryside. Homes are subject to single-level restrictions to ensure every resident can enjoy the vistas.

Fairley is on an old cattle and sheep farm, formerly known as Hawthorn Station.

The station was previously home to a blacksmith, inn and workers’ homes and considered the area’s hub before the village was built.
