Canberra has bounced back to record-high asking rents, but it doesn’t have to be as costly for tenants hunting for a new home.

The latest Domain Rent Report showed that Canberra’s median asking rent for a house was up 1.5 per cent over the quarter and 3 per cent year-on-year to $690 a week. The capital has maintained its position as Australia’s most expensive city in which to rent a house.
