The Crocodile House is a shed that’s much more than a place to store your lawn mower: it’s home to an African dwarf crocodile.

The shed has a large pool built into the ground and is the size of a backyard.

It’s just been announced one of the finalists for Britain’s Shed of the Year competition, where the designs go beyond our wildest shed dreams.

From live crocodiles to 360-degree rotating floors, these creations have been built by the sharpest tools in the shed world.

There are eight categories of spectacular sheds: unexpected, eco, cabin/summerhouse, workshop/studio, pub/entertainment, budget, historic and unique.

You can vote for your favourite design on the Shed of the Year website until June 8.

The winner for the competition will be crowned on TV show Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year.

The 32 finalists were cut down from 2825 entries – a record number of entries for the competition, which has been running for nine years.

Here are some more of the competition’s highlights:

The Star Wars shed, modelled on the Millenium Falcon. It’s unclear what intergalactic weapons capacity this shed has.
