A beloved family home frozen in time for 60 years is looking for a new owner.
The corner block in Birkenhead in north-west Adelaide has been in the Frydrych family since the 1960s. Despite the passing years, it remains in original condition.
The solid brick home at 25 Levi Street was built by Francis and Wally Frydrych, a Polish immigrant couple, who raised their family in the home.

Wally, who arrived in Australia with his parents, built the family home using local materials.
As their daughter, Irene Lynch, remembers, her childhood was filled with the simple pleasures of family life.
“The kitchen was very small, but it was always where we gathered for meals,” she said in a statement.
“My mum cooked, my dad came home at 5pm, and the meal was set. Family, relatives – it was always around that table.”
The time capsule property has had no major renovations other than a new roof and a fresh lick of paint.
The family is parting ways with the home after changes in personal circumstances.
While Wally passed away 20 years ago, Francis continued living in the home until April last year when she moved into aged care.
She hopes another family will enjoy her family home as much as she did.

“I hope a loving family will be there for a long time creating as many happy family memories as we did,” Irene said.
“There’s lots of potential for someone to make it their own.”
The property is on the market with Ray White Semaphore agent Peter Kikianis.
“It’s a time capsule of Adelaide’s multicultural heritage and a family’s enduring legacy,” Kikianis said.

“The property is a blank canvas in a tightly held location, and is in close proximity to the Osborne Shipyards, historic Port Adelaide and the beaches of Semaphore.”
It’s set to go to auction on January 21.
