A record house price has been set for Hackett with the $3.1 million sale of an architect-designed residence at 67 Mackenzie Street.
Luton Properties’ Richard Luton said the contemporary home drew significant attention, with three serious buyers vying for the property.
“It ultimately sold prior to auction after a strong offer was received,” he said.
“There was plenty of interest and excellent attendance through the open homes, with the property achieving a record price for the suburb.”
Built around five years ago, the commanding five-bedroom home sits in an elevated position overlooking a reserve.
It features expansive formal and casual indoor living areas that flow seamlessly to a covered outdoor entertaining space and a solar-heated in-ground pool.
Set on nearly 1000 square metres of land, the spacious house includes a four-car garage and generous storage throughout.
Hackett is a tightly held suburb with few property sales but boasts a median house price of $1.474 million, according to Allhomes data.
In the adjoining suburb of Watson, another strong Inner North result was recorded by the $2.2 million sale of a brand-new house at 15 A’Beckett Street on May 17.
Tom Wiggins of Hive Property said the four-bedroom property attracted strong interest, with the home selling under the hammer to a buyer who had missed out on another property.
Designed by Studio 187 and built by award-winning builder Freedom, the sleek home features generous living areas and high-end finishes.
According to the Domain House Price Report for the March quarter, Watson’s median house price is currently $1.06 million, up 1.9 per cent over the past 12 months.
