The country comes into the suburbs at 419 Glynburn Road, Leabrook.

This home feels like it belongs in the country, rather than in Adelaide’s Eastern suburbs, sprawling across 3248 square metres of manicured grounds complete with swimming pool. Forget taking the kids to the park for a run around, you basically have your own park in your backyard!

The home is indeed stately and has amazing bones, but could do with some modernising of the interior. Unless you’re a Laura Ashley fan, in which case you’ve found your dream home! With a bit of updating though this home could be an absolute knockout.

This home was built by renowned Adelaide builder David Cheney, who tragically died this year, leaving this stately home as one of the legacies to his great eye for design.  The home is set across two titles in leafy Leabrook, one of the Eastern suburbs most prestigious areas.

The home has all of the elegant detail you would expect from a David Cheney home, with standout features such as the wood panelled study/library room and parquetry floors. Finished with a beautiful parterre garden, this home has both style and substance.

This gorgeous sandstone villa is a quintessential Adelaide home  lovingly restored by the current owners. All the period details have been kept at the front of the house, with a modern family room and master bedroom at the back, looking out on the sparkling swimming warm. It’s warm and inviting and has been beautifully styled to show off its features. This one is pretty as a picture!
