One of television’s most iconic houses is set to hit the market for the first time in nearly 50 years.
The mansion from the original 1990s show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is about to come up for sale for just under $US30 million ($44.7 million), TMZ reported.
The Georgian Colonial house with its white portico is instantly recognisable as the Banks family home from the beloved sitcom starring US megastar Will Smith.
The 1937 house – which is actually located in the Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood Park, not Bel-Air – was used in exterior shots.
Indoor scenes were filmed on a soundstage.

Hints about the upcoming listing have been circulating on social media pages for The Altman Brothers, an LA-based luxury real estate agency.
“Yo homes to Bel-Air! One of the most iconic homes in Los Angeles is about to hit the market,” an Instagram post reads.
According to the social media posts, real estate agent Sasha Rahban will be representing the property.
In a wild twist, Rahban wrote in a 2023 Instagram post that the Brentwood Park house was his “childhood home”.
“It has been an amazing journey for my family to be associated with this Classic all time TV show,” the post read.

The grand house at 251 North Bristol Avenue sits on a 3577-square-metre corner block in Brentwood Park.
It last sold in 1978 for $US732,000, according to public price records on Realtor.com.
In September 2020, the house was listed on Airbnb to celebrate the TV show’s 30-year anniversary.
“Ready for the freshest staycation ever? If this place looks familiar that’s because it’s just as fly as it was when I first rolled up the driveway,” the Airbnb listing read.
The cost was just $US30 a night, and Smith was listed as the ‘host’.
