The new Gungahlin suburbs have won over resident Wendy Candlish as both an owner-occupier and an investor.

Six months ago, she bought  a home in Bonner for her young family and she has recently snapped up a four-bedroom townhouse in Casey’s Benchmark Waters development as an investment property.

Wendy says the burgeoning suburb offers growth potential, while the quality and position of the development at Benchmark Waters will appeal to potential tenants.

“The amenities and the general feel of the area has got a good community vibe,” Wendy says.

“We like that it’s got the pond at the front and the outlook from that particular area. The amenities are close without them being across the road.”

Casey Market Town opened last month, bringing two supermarkets, an array of eateries and specialty shops to the suburb.

Services, including a gym, hairdressers, a dentist, pharmacy and health centre, will make Casey one of the most convenient suburbs in Gungahlin, which is sure to be an attraction to home owners and tenants alike.

“It’s got good potential for growth with expanding community facilities for growing families,” Wendy says.
