In the heart of Woden’s vibrant and transforming landscape, you’ll find an abundance of new residential developments that are shaping the area’s future as a bustling town centre, with enough amenity and excitement to rival that of the city.

Among the new towers emerging, four are dedicated to Geocon’s latest development, WOVA – a place where luxury and lifestyle take centre stage, with a refined precinct built off the back of improvements made at the company’s well-regarded and very popular Republic precinct in Belconnen.

The four buildings make up a total of 802 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and 22 commercial spaces on the ground level, plus a 54-room hotel. The tallest building is a soaring 24 storeys high, capturing sweeping views across Woden Valley and wider Canberra.

“The residential development is about 90 per cent sold, and the commercial spaces are about 50 per cent sold. It’s definitely been one of our fastest-selling developments,” says senior development manager Jack Ison of Geocon. “What really sets this development apart are the four levels of amenity. It’s the largest amenity we’ve ever delivered and includes a lap pool, sauna, cinema, games room, gym, a chef’s kitchen and lounge area, as well as a work-from-home option.”

Ison says this is an attractive feature for residents who might want to live here and work from home but don’t necessarily want to accommodate space for a workstation in their apartment.

“Instead, they can simply take their things down to the workspace,” he says. “Same goes for the chef’s kitchen and resident’s lounge. We expect a lot of residents to be first-home buyers given the price point, so they’ll typically have a smaller apartment. There may be times they’ll want to host friends, which they may feel they can’t do at home, but they can book the chef’s kitchen and host them there all night.”

For outdoor entertaining options, the top of tower three is also home to a beautiful rooftop garden equipped with barbecues for dining in the sunshine or under the stars.

“We have display apartments on-site so potential purchasers can come and see the finished product with the different colour scheme options,” says Ison. “We’ve also fast-tracked the cinema so they can see how they’ll enjoy using that upon completion.”

While the amenity is certainly the biggest drawcard for WOVA, Ison also believes it’s the location and floor plans that will really capture potential buyers’ attention, especially at the price point.

“The floor plans aren’t long, dark and impractical like many other apartment buildings, but well designed and light-filled,” he explains. “The curved glass facade gives a really great feeling to the internal design and living areas.”

As for the building’s location, it’s within walking distance of the Woden Town Centre and Westfield Shopping Centre. Groceries can be grabbed on foot, and the area is already abundant with great eateries to be enjoyed by new locals.

The expected completion of the project is just months away, with residents set to begin moving into the building in the second quarter of this year.
