Model Catherine McNeil and Miles Plumlee's compound up for grabs as family grows
Australian fashion model Catherine McNeil and her American sports star husband Miles Plumlee are moving on from their dreamy Sunshine Coast compound.
The high profile couple, who married in early 2023, have listed their five-bedroom, six-bathroom estate in Tanawha with price hopes north of $6 million.
They bought the sprawling resort-style residence at 55 Rainforest Road, in July 2021 as their permanent home. They paid $3.49 million, according to property records.
A few years after moving in, they welcomed their first child together.
McNeil, who is pregnant with their second child, and due any day now, kindly spared some time to share the key features of the home that drew the couple in.
“We immediately fell in love with the resort-style home as it provided a beautiful blend of indoor/outdoor living against a lush rainforest backdrop,” she told Domain over email.
“It also has generous amounts of space to accommodate and entertain friends and family.”
The six-time Vogue cover model – who spent 13 years living in New York – said the home’s swimming pool and spa is where she has the fondest family memories.
“The spa was a wonderful way for us to start our day,” the Brisbane native said.
“But it is hard to compete with the memories we have made BBQing by the pool.”
It’s easy to see why the couple fell in love with the luxury abode.
It’s spacious at 18,500 metre squares and boasts a pavilion-style main house with dual wings as well as lush lawns, a dam, koi ponds and timber boardwalk crossings.
“The home comprises five bedrooms, three bathrooms, chef’s kitchen, multiple indoor and outdoor living and entertaining patios and zones,” the listing reads.
“The master bedroom is ideally located at the far end of one wing and enjoys a walk-in wardrobe, opulent ensuite with freestanding stone bath, private patio and access to the luxurious 12-person indoor spa.”
The remaining four bedrooms, guest quarters and a rumpus room are in the opposite wing.
The property also has a bar and games room that is described as being “akin to a chic ski lodge”.
“The sleek black stone and timber bar, complete with integrated beer taps, 3 kegs and wine fridge is pure perfection,” the listing reads.
For the health conscious buyer, the home has a full size, floodlit tennis court with basketball and netball rings.
There is also a dedicated gym with full length mirrors, air conditioning, shock absorbent flooring and a deluxe 15 metre solar heated saltwater pool.
There is also covered parking for more than 11 cars with a four car lockup garage and a three bay and four bay garage.

McNeil and Plumlee, an Indiana native who played seven seasons in the NBA, are selling up to focus on their growing family.
“It was tough because it is a great home and we have many fond memories there,” McNeil said.
“But with our first child almost two and another arriving any day, we felt the need to focus more on the children.”
The couple won’t be moving too far. They have snapped up a nearby trophy home for $11 million.
