New Denman Prospect home process exceeds expectations

Denman Prospect’s first home is taking shape – the roof trusses are up and completion is expected before the end of the year.

Its new owners, Tim and Alison Aust, and their seven-year-old son Toby, can’t wait to move in.

They purchased a house and land package through Blackett Homes earlier this year and know exactly what they can expect. Their house is modelled on the company’s display home in Coombs and a couple of minor changes have allowed them to adapt it to suit their needs.

Alison said the suburb’s central location and Mount Stromlo backdrop make it the ideal setting for her family.

“The blocks are a bit bigger and we were attracted to [Denman Prospect’s] vision of good landscaping and public areas,” Alison says.

The Austs recently moved back to Canberra after two years of living in Melbourne and Toby has started at the local school in Coombs.

Alison says Blackett Homes has made the process – from the sale to the build – an easy one.

“It really has been amazing,” she says.

“Everyone that you deal with and the logistics of everything has all been really good and it’s all been pretty quick.”

The Austs first spoke with Blackett Homes in February and they will be moving in before Christmas.
