WHY I BOUGHT IN…

COOMBS

An apartment or a townhouse with a tiny backyard just wasn’t an option for first home buyers Liam McGrath and Catalina Vera.

With two dogs, they needed space inside and out for every member of the family.

The couple had been thinking about buying their first property for about six months, but when they saw what was available at Odin in Coombs they jumped at the opportunity.

“We just stumbled across it and we were really impressed with everything they had available,” Liam says.

Catalina said the three-bedroom townhouse was the perfect fit for their lifestyle.

“We found in other areas the blocks were too small, but we didn’t want the maintenance of a house,” Catalina adds.

The townhouse has a spacious backyard and two separate living areas.

Liam and Catalina wanted to have plenty of room for themselves, but furry family members Diego and Mia were also a major consideration.

“They definitely factored into the decision,” Liam said.

“They’re one of the reasons we chose the size of the home and the big backyard.

“We are also fairly active, we like to go on walks with the dogs and after we saw the location made sense that that’s where we’d end up living.”

Catalina says their decision was made as soon as they saw the Molonglo River and surrounding green spaces.

“Once we drove out there it set the scene for what our life would be like,” Catalina says.
