A new apartment isn’t the only thing on the way for Fiona Scotney and husband, Dylan, who have just bought a two-bedroom apartment in new Greenway development SQ1 Southquay.
With a new baby coming it was time to upsize. Fiona and Dylan will be moving from a one-bedroom apartment, also in Greenway, to a third-floor two-bedroom apartment in SQ1 looking out over the mountains, in what Fiona sees as “our big exciting move to a two-bedroom.”
When they moved from Brisbane for work with the Australian Public Service three years ago Fiona says she “didn’t know Canberra very well and friends recommended Greenway”, which won out in their choice of home for its proximity to their workplace, its lakeside location and the convenience of the shops and amenities close by.
“I love having the lake there and love being able to walk to the movies,” Fiona says.
She also enjoys how much living in Greenway has cut from her and Dylan’s daily commute, which is now just a 10-minute walk.
The choice of colour theme SQ1 offers was a big drawcard for Fiona and Dylan, who have decided on a medium theme of neutrals.
Having lived in one-bedroom apartments for the past few years, they liked the open-plan layout of SQ1 and enjoy the apartment’s minimalist design.
Fiona is particularly looking forward to the views offered by a balcony that spans the width of the apartment and windows that are almost floor to ceiling.
With April the due date for both apartment and baby, Fiona and Dylan have a lot to look forward to in 2017.
