WHY I BOUGHT IN…

WODEN

Nikolai Lysewycz’s move into Idalia will be a big change from his current home.

The Canberra Grammar English teacher is also a resident boarding tutor, living on site at the school.

His new apartment in Phillip will bring him right into the heart of the growing town centre.

“There’s a lot of development about to happen, which I’m excited about,” Nikolai says.

“It’s going to have a bit more of a metropolitan vibe and it looks like it’s going to come alive, which is good.”

The commute to his Red Hill school will no longer be a walk through the campus, but Idalia’s proximity to Hindmarsh Drive ensures residents can be in the inner south in less than 10 minutes.

“It’s also right across the walk from a big shopping complex,” Nikolai says.

“It’s convenient and affordable.”

Idalia is in the Woden Green, a residential precinct that will connect the Woden Town Centre with the open spaces of Eddison Park.

Nikolai has bought a two-bedroom apartment in the complex. One of the bedrooms has a study nook, which means he can use the same space for a guest room and a study.

He was also impressed with the high energy-efficiency rating and the quality of the inclusions.

“The design and colour scheme were right up my alley,” Nikolai says.

Idalia is on track for residents to move in during the second half of 2017.
