Basketball star Lauren Jackson has sold an investment property in her country New South Wales hometown.
Jackson, who was born in Albury, is widely considered to be Australia’s greatest women’s basketball player.
The sports icon has won five Olympic medals with the Australian Opals and has represented Australia in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
She also spent over 10 years playing for the Seattle Storm in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) over in the US.

Jackson has retired from basketball, but that has not stopped her from keeping busy.
She bought a block of land in Thurgoona, an outer suburb of Albury, in 2022 as an investment property.
The purchase price was $160,000, according to public records.
Jackson built a modern three-bedroom, two-bathroom house on the site two years ago.

It’s a neat brick house that backs onto a golf course and country club, while tennis courts are just across the road.
For keen basketballers, the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre – named in the icon’s honour – is just a 10-minute drive away.
The house went to online auction yesterday after a three-week marketing campaign.
There was plenty of interest from investors, who were attracted by the estimated $615 per week rental return.
But in the end it was a local first-home buyer who secured the keys for $701,000.
“We’re thrilled to have achieved an excellent result for Lauren,” Ray White Albury North principal Andrea Lever said.
“The property’s prime position, with modern appointments and low-maintenance appeal made it highly attractive to a range of buyers. It was a very busy campaign.”
