There are plenty of ways to make an average home look just that little bit extra.
It could be a vibrant mural, a spicy set of garden gnomes or maybe even an awfully located toilet?
Bottom line is: when it comes to turning the originality dial up to 11 – the sky’s the limit.
Located in the American city of Portland, this incredibly unassuming four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home appears to be a picture of mediocrity.
But, even a quick peruse through the abode’s listing photos leaves a lasting impression.
Why?
Well, it’s not because of the tragic wallpaper or the objectively unattractive kitchen.
No, what sets this home apart, perhaps from any other in Portland, is its unbelievable shrine to the humble beer can.
The owner of this residence was clearly a fan of cracking a cold one, because the billiards and games room is covered, from floor to ceiling, in aluminium ale receptacles.
It’s a beautiful, almost tear-jerking sight to behold and has obviously taken decades to curate, as some of the cans look like they’re of the vintage variety.
Judging from the photos, the brews appear to be exclusively American brands.
But we like to think that maybe there’s a wall dedicated to international or even Aussie beers in the staggering room (VB green would really shine).
There also looks to be one wall that’s not been decorated yet, so if the tinnies come with the home (we dearly hope so), the new owners could continue the wonderful and kitsch tradition.
