Former federal opposition leader Peter Dutton is offloading from his expansive property portfolio, listing his luxury family farm on the outskirts of Brisbane for sale.
The property, called “Juffs Farm”, is in Dayboro, about an hour’s drive from Brisbane’s CBD, and is situated on 169 acres.
It features a Queenslander with some original timber floors, but has been renovated into a six-bedroom, four-bathroom home since being purchased by the Dutton family for $2.1 million in 2020.
It will go to auction next Friday.
Sellers Ray White describe the upcoming sale as “a rare opportunity to secure an exceptional rural holding showcasing breathtaking natural beauty and endless potential”.
“Every element of this estate has been designed to offer not just a home, but a lifestyle,” the agents said.
In earlier iterations, the rural property was home to 100 dairy cows, and later supported beef cattle operations.
Agents describe its modern trimmings, which include a mini golf and tennis court, infinity pool and polished concrete extension, as creating a “private resort-style oasis”, but said there remains opportunity to raise livestock or run a small-crop production.
Dutton purchased his first home at 19, and over the last 35 years, has made $30 million worth of property transactions across 26 real estate holdings.
His Queensland portfolio has boasted investment units, holiday homes and childcare centres, but as he eyed leadership, he began to offload, selling a mix of luxury and investment properties from 2020.
This included a six-bedroom home on acreage in Camp Mountain in 2020 for $1.8 million, a Gold Coast home in 2021 for $6 million, and a penthouse in the Riparian Plaza in Brisbane CBD in 2022 for $3.47 million.
Domain lists the median property price for a four-bedroom house in Dayboro as $1.293 million.
Dutton did not respond to calls on Friday.
