“My wife saw this [cottage] about three and a half years ago, and she just fell in love and we ended up buying it,” says owner Vikram Goyal.

“It’s picture-perfect. When you walk up through the cobbled pathways, you come up to the cottage, and it’s absolutely gorgeous, especially in the morning light and just at dusk.”

The English Cottage is being sold fully furnished.

Named the English Cottage, it is one of 10 short-stay cottages on the estate, offering a yearly passive income of about $58,000.

“Each [cottage] is uniquely designed, and it’s completely different, and each has its individual characteristics,” Goyal says.

Unlike the other cottages, the English Cottage has been renovated and now has more modern interiors. It also has its own private back gardens, he says.

The interior of the cottage has been newly painted and restored.

The property is being sold fully furnished and features a timber kitchen with a full-size fridge, a double spa bath, a fully functional fireplace and air-conditioning.

Due to its short-term rental zoning, the cottage cannot be used as a permanent residence and has a maximum stay of three weeks.

“It’s available to rent for 365 days a year,” Goyal says. “But we’ve only rented out to paying guests for about 60 per cent of those 365 days of the year.”

The pink stone cottage also has a private garden.

“Winter is the peak season for us, and it’s completely booked out during those days.”

The cottage has a 4.98-star rating and more than 40 positive reviews on Airbnb.

“If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing time, that’s where you would go,” Goyal says.

“If you think it looks good in pictures, you should actually come and see it in person, because it takes your breath away sometimes.”

The owners immediately fell in love with the cottage when they first saw it.

The property at 8/274 Main Western Road, Tamborine Mountain, QLD, is open for inspections via private appointment only and has a price guide of $590,000.
