This is what your life looks like after cohabitation

The progression of dating someone while living separately to cohabitation with that said partner is a tricky one.

The decision often springs from spending so much time together that you both come up with the same genius idea: “We might as well live together, that will be fun!”

And fun it is. No more living with parents or awkward strangers in a share house. You get to live with your favourite person in the world and the thought of waking up next to him/her every single day sounds like absolute bliss!

That is until reality hits home, because, as we know, everything in life comes with a list of pros and cons.

Here’s some fun illustrations by BuzzFeed’s Crystal Ro that sum it up perfectly.

Relationship status: It’s complicated.

The cosy living room becomes a little too cosy.

You buy extra dinnerware for all those dinner parties you will never have.

There will be someone to do chores for you now . . . NOT!

Behold the magical, never-ending laundry pile.

What is this? A closet for ants!

Your OCD will be tested like never before.

“Netflix and chill” becomes literal.

“I hope that phone drops on your face!”

But then again . . . this is always handy.
