Legend has it the property was once a narrow alleyway between two terraced houses.
The home is laid out in a traditional two-up, two-down Victorian style.
You enter into a long, thin living room lit by a single window.
On one side is a cast-iron fireplace; on the other, a radiator and a set of shelves.
With its austere board floor and yellow wallpaper, the space looks straight out of a Charles Dickens novel.
Past the living room is a small galley kitchen.
There is just enough space in the two-metre-wide space for a bar fridge, sink and small stove.
Through a corridor is the property’s only bathroom: a box-sized space with a toilet and a corner bath.
The sink is so small you may need to wash one hand at a time.
Upstairs are two bedrooms – one double room and a small single that is just 1.4 metres wide.

The property will head to online auction with McHugh & Co on 17 September. The guide price is £75,000 ($152,800).
It is advertised as a two-storey terrace “requiring modernisation”.
The same property was previously listed with another auction house for £100,000 ($203,000), but failed to sell.
The former listing billed the house as “perfect for a single person or a couple (or even a small family).”
“It will also make a good choice for a landlord looking for a buy to let investment opportunity,” the listing read.
