Teams plan secret ambush while Britt and Taz are off-site as Alfresco Week gets off to an explosive start

Grab your hat, slap on some sunscreen – The Block 2025 interiors are officially done and it’s time to head outside!

First up is alfresco and shed, but before we get to that, it’s Open For Inspections time.

And finally, FINALLY, the gloves are off.

Britt and Taz are very critical of Sonny and Alicia‘s layout, but not to be outdone, everyone else is even more critical of Britt and Taz’s major painting mishaps.

Han and Can, who lost by just half-a-point after Shaynna Blaze gave House 3 a 10, feel pretty robbed.

The group pretty unanimously agree with them, wondering where the heck House 2’s 10s were.

And that’s not just being said quietly either. Sonny’s quite literally yelling it across the site, while walking directly past Britt and Taz.

“Sorry, but that is f–king amazing… and finished,” he quips.

Awwwwkward.

Britt and Taz are taken aback by the “rude” interaction, which continues as the group all gather to see their updated Domain listings.

“You know what your mistake was,” Alicia tells Can, “you painted too nice.”

Okay, NOW it’s time to head outside, or in the case of House 5, down to their wine cellar.

Yes, after 10 weeks of talking about it, this is finally the week of DELIVERING it. They hope.

There are other big milestones happening across the site too, like the fence dividing House 3 from its neighbours.

“Not a moment too soon,” Taz laughs.

The House 3 team also have a bit of extra time today, because last week Sonny noticed them working ahead on their alfresco deck and dobbed to Foreman Dan.

They’re now forbidden from working on it at all today, but all it’s done is lit a fire under Britt.

She tells landscaper Troy Lovett she’d love to have it complete by Tuesday, and he takes up the challenge.

They’ve also got big plans to turn half their shed into a wine bar, which Site Manager Aidan is not a huge fan of.

“It’s a shed, make it a shed. Stop trying to make it something else, because it’s a shed,” he complains.

Perhaps he’ll prefer Sonny and Alicia’s plans.

“The shed is staying a shed,” they confirm.

If only Aido was a judge!

Down in House 2, Han and Can’s budget issues are, well, still issues.

They’re $15,000 in the red and desperate for cash, so this week they’re thinking strategically: staying simple (and cheap) and aiming for the jackpotted CommBank $20,000.

But Can’s in a fighting mood and honestly, a Block boxing match would probably rake in the cash right about now.

Or… wait a second, Can. Put away your gloves!

Scotty’s here and he has news.

CommBank are giving everyone a $50,000 budget boost and Han and Can are so in shock they can barely process the news.

Sonny and Alicia get an extra, extra boost from baristas Shayla and Tina, who award them this week’s McCafe $5000 for the Grafico wallpaper in their garage.

Alicia and Mat head out for a shopping trip, a nap in a bath and a sandwich. To be honest, that sounds like our dream afternoon.

However, today’s sandwich comes with both a jump scare from Can and a side of drama.

As Stratco are busy on site building structures, no one has been able to get cracking on their decks yet.

Considering Britt and Taz’s entire punishment was to not work on their deck, the other teams are a little peeved about that.

The trio brainstorm further punishments over their sangas, ranging from making them ineligible for the win to having the rip their deck up and start again.

Alicia is impressed by Can’s passion for justice.

“She’d had enough, she was letting it rip today,” she recalls with a smile.

No doubt the saltiness is set to continue as the group head out for dinner, with Britt and Taz off on their MG Winner’s Getaway.

While the coppers from the Pilbara battle their way through raw fish and shellfish, the chumps head to the pub.

Barely a bite has been eaten before House 3’s already complete subframe is brought up, as is the punishment the entire table now believes is insufficient.

A plan is made to call another body corporate meeting tomorrow morning when they return to site.

Mat is quick to point out that it’s not personal at all, it’s just unfair for one team to be so much further ahead than the rest.

“They’re cops, they should know, you break the rules you get penalised,” Han says.

But Sonny thinks Britt and Taz will still think it’s personal and judging by the way they’re talking, Emma and Ben are also starting to think maybe it is a little bit personal, actually.

Cheers to tomorrow night, which we just know is going to be unmissable!

It’s about to get real. We’ll see you there.
