Telstra chief executive officer Andrew Penn is selling the South Yarra home he bought brand new seven years ago.
The UK-born executive, who migrated to Melbourne in 1992 – can expect between $3 million and $3.3 million for the Peter Street residence following an auction on September 2.
The 53-year old executive will move elsewhere in the inner-city following the disposal of his outgoing family-sized home.
The residence offers four bedrooms, three living areas, a cellar, gym and a double garage.
Kay & Burton’s Nicole Gleeson is representing Penn whose career in Australia began as an executive with National Mutual – a life insurance company which later merged with AXA Asia Pacific, where he held the group chief executive position between 2006 and 2011.

In 2012, Telstra’s then chief executive officer David Thodey appointed Penn as that company’s chief financial officer.
Three years later, following Thodey’s retirement, Penn moved into the telco’s top role.

During the same year, the Willims’ purchased a $6 million palatial mansion on Ascot’s Palm Avenue.

Alma Clark, of Alma Clark Real Estate, is now the selling agent, hoping for offers around $2.5 million.
The house, constructed in 2002, has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool.
